Music Funding For Schools: How We Can Continue!

This was the letter of gratitude sent to us direct from the teacher who needed music listening resources for the students in her high poverty school last week. Here at the Fun Music Company, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all those who participated in our “like” experiment which achieved this funding on the weekend of the 23rd-24thapril, 2010. It’s so pleasing there are so many  of you who are as passionate as we are about getting much needed resources back to teachers and schools who need it most!

As a result of this campaign, we achieved around 150 more “likes”, and the number is still growing. We decided to give a little more than 50cents per like, so that we could fully fund the classroom Music project “Listen Up” and we gave to this project because we felt that it gave music education access to many students in the school in a fun way.

Now that the momentum has started, we’d like to announce that we’d be more than happy to continue this campaign indefinitely. We would much rather be funding projects in schools instead of paying Google and Facebook in advertising costs, and with your help we can continue to do this!

All you need to do is keep sharing our posts here from the Fun Music Company and getting your friends and colleagues to continue to “like” our page. When we reach 2000 “likes”, we’ll fund another project, and we’ll fund one for every 1000 likes we get. It’s that simple!

Click here to see my video, made especially for last weekend which will give you a step by step process how we can continue together to raise funds for students in needy schools and what you need to do to help.
