Why you must learn to stand out from the crowd

We’re not in the industrial age anymore… we’re in the information age!

In the industrial age, everybody did their job, and everyone expected to be fairly rewarded.

If you did a good job, you were rewarded well with a safe secure job and a gold watch when you retired.

However, times have changed.

These days, if you do a good job at something what kind of reward do you get?

You don’t get fired. Thats it.

You might, however get downsized, your budget cut, your resources taken away and asked to do more work outside your field.

I’m sorry if that comes over as blunt……. but you know that to be true yourself. How many friends and colleagues do you know to whom this has happened?

And the saddest thing at all…. they were doing a GOOD job! They might have even been doing an excellent job. It doesn’t matter.

The good news is that if you can find a way to be OUTSTANDING… then these things won’t happen to you, or even if they do happen… you’ll be able to deal with them in a more positive manner, so they won’t affect you so badly.

Think about it – if you’re truly OUTSTANDING… can they really take your budget away?

Look at this friend and colleague: Robb Janov – A Music teacher from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I interviewed him in 2013 for our Virtual Music Education Conference. He never seems to have a problem getting funding, and he recently had a purpose built teaching studio constructed for him!

What is he? Especially gifted or talented? Lucky?…….. or does he just STAND OUT? He has found a way to be noticed and be OUTSTANDING in what he does.

What is special about him is his mindset – his psychology.

Having an outstanding mindset is one of the things I’m going to talk about in our upcoming training course called Be Your Best 2016 – so click here to learn more about this amazing program.
