Custom Music Education Professional Development Sessions
Professional Development That Fits Your School — Not the Other Way Around
Most PD sessions ask teachers to sit through a generic presentation designed for someone else’s school, someone else’s curriculum, and someone else’s challenges.
That’s not what we do.
When you book a customised training session with Fun Music Company, you get a session designed around your team. Whether you’re a music specialist supporting classroom teachers, a principal looking to embed music into your school culture, or a curriculum coordinator rolling out the Australian Curriculum v9 — we tailor the session to where your staff are right now, and where you want them to be.
Sessions Can Cover Any of the Following — or a Combination
We’ll work with you in advance to design the session that’s right for your team. Topics include:
- Getting started with the Fun Music Company K–6 Curriculum Program
- Teaching ukulele, Boomwhackers, bucket drumming, and other classroom instruments
- Music pedagogy and lesson planning for classroom generalists
- Implementing the Australian Curriculum v9 Music strand
- Supporting generalist teachers to deliver effective, engaging music lessons
- Any topic your school identifies — this is your session
Live In-Person or via Zoom — We Come to You
Sessions are available in two formats, so you can choose what works best for your school or region:
In-Person Workshop
We travel to your school or venue and deliver the session face-to-face. Ideal for whole-staff PD days, small team workshops, or hands-on instrument training where teachers benefit from doing, not just watching.
Please note that we’re based in Adelaide, SA — so for in-person sessions, your quote will include travel and accommodation costs to your location.

Live Online via Zoom
Prefer to bring the team together without the travel? Our Zoom sessions are fully interactive — not a pre-recorded video, but a live, responsive workshop with a real presenter and real-time Q&A. Perfect for schools in regional or remote areas, multi-site networks, and district-wide training.

Both formats are available for groups of any size — from a small team of six to a region or district-wide event.
If you’re considering an in-person session, your quote will reflect our travel and accommodation costs from Adelaide, SA.
Who Will Be Presenting?
Your session will be delivered by Janice & Kevin Tuck, co-founders of the Fun Music Company.
Janice Tuck brings years of classroom experience and a deep practical knowledge of how music programs work in real K–6 schools — especially for generalist teachers who are building their confidence alongside their students.
Kevin Tuck holds a Master of Music and extensive experience as a performing musician who has worked with primary schools across Australia. He’s particularly well-suited to sessions with a research, curriculum, or academic leadership focus.
